Come to think of it - I wore this dress on my first official date with Industrial Ken 6.5 years ago!
We ate at my favorite tex-mex restaurant - El Taco Loco in New Hope, PA.

Funny side note, when describing himself to me that night, he threw me for a loop by saying "and I'm very patriotic" - I think I laughed...what the heck was he getting at?
I still tease him about that.

I added a bracelet to the ankle of one boot - I love this black rhinestone bracelet but it's too big! So glad I found a way to wear it!

When Blogger VictorianKitty of Sophistique Noir chose RINGS as this months theme my mind went RIGHT to my engagement/wedding rings!

This is what we looked like on the day we got engaged Feb 11 2006 - and that very day we found the PERFECT wedding bands at an indoor Renaissance Faire - Wicked Winter Faire.

Around Halloween this year I picked up a neat looking product called Violent Lips.

Temporary lipstick tattoos!

I had to try them, it took me 2 months but here you go.

They give a really neat look - but they feel AWFUL> I didn't even leave the house in this stuff.

I took these photos then proceeded to scrub it off with baby oil. YUCK!

This doesn't happen very often - we usually coordinate so that we're both dressed in a similar vein. He was way too swanky for me ! BUT I love his tie and his shoes, and I didn't feel like changing - so this is what we looked like at dinner last night.

We volunteered at a "soup kitchen" this Thanksgiving. We served a holiday meal to any members of the local community who wanted/needed to come to this church for their holiday meal.

I didn't know what we'd be doing, but I thought COMFORT was my best bet (and clothes I didn't mind getting dirty).

It was a REALLY lovely event and the attendees as well as all the other volunteers were really sweet - this may become our new holiday tradition!

I think this shade of green is ULTRA SPOOKY! And of course Industrial Ken looks AWESOME in green.

I got a new necklace really cheap on the Sam Moon website - I really love it! I did add the rosary to the mix - more is more!

And the awesome art on the wall is from Homegoods - we LOVE that store!!! There are 3 in our area and we go at least once a week. We're addicted!

Midnight and Spellbound in DC

We went to both Saturday night goth clubs in Washington - Spellbound and Midnight. They are only 2 blocks from each other and convinient to the metro station. There was good music and a good size crowd at both. We danced and enjoyed ourselves.

We really liked our hotel - the very new Hilton Garden Inn.

It was super close to a subway station that happened to be above ground!

We used the subways to get around and didn't drive our car at all on our trip.

We had really perfect weather for walking around while we were there - overcast and cool but not cold.

PURE JOY FILLED MY HEART WHEN WE STEPPED OUT OF UNION STATION AND I SPOTTED THAT BUILDING ACCROSS THE STREET! I am a HUGE fan of old fashioned MAIL and Letters and of course stamps!

Charles was THRILLED too...

They had activities and we designed our own stamps - they also let us browse international and antique cancelled stamps and choose 6 each to take home for our collection. What FUN!

And in the gift shop I found a grab bag of cancelled international stamps! YAY!

My TRUE LOVE - on the day we were wed.

We had a custom suit made for him by Anthony Malat of Sinner-Saint

Since I was wearing very high platform boots - I wanted Charles to have platform boots too - I adore these boots!

Our wedding bands - we found them at a Ren Faire the very day we got engaged - less than $20 each we haven't taken them off in 5 1/2 years.

When Gorgeous Goth Blogger Victorian Kitty of Sophistique Noir announced this months theme - I knew I had to participate. I've always loved lace - it's so feminine and glamorous and GOTH! SO ME!

I decided to share my wedding photos because the main item was the custom corset I had made in white satin and black lace.

My skirt was custom made for me (with a good bit of help from me ;) by my wonderful friend Richard. Above, I'm getting ready to hike up the hill to our wedding spot so I'm not wearing the wedding boots. I put the white boots on once I got up the rocky hill.

This isn't a super photo (above) but none of the better shots show the layers of tulle and lace covered satin in the back of my skirt.

We couldn't have asked for better weather, a more beautiful setting or a more wonderful spritual leader to perform our ceremony. Uqualla was so soulful and the ceremony was magical and meaningful.

Our wedding planners Weddings In Sedona also arranged a fantastic photographer, a lovely flautist and a GORGEOUS home with AMAZING property to rent for the week.

And here's what it looked like!

If you are REALLY curious about the ceremony - we put it up on youtube so our family could watch (we didn't have any guests at all) - we recorded it with a tripod and our camcorder so it's not high quality and the sound is overwhelmed by buzzing bees and low flying aircraft at points but it's still cool! We finally finished the jigsaw puzzle we were working on for the last couple of months (we're not very dedicated) and found a gothy glorious frame for him! This is the 4th puzzle we have framed and added to our wall decor - we're running out of room!

Our new collection needed a special place in the house - when I saw the shelf at Homegoods I knew it would be perfect - except for the color. We fixed it up by adding scrapbooking paper as wallpaper to the new dolls house! Now we just need more dolls!
