My favorite corset!

It's one of the first corsets I ever bought - and it's one of a kind b/c I bought the silver (stretch denim!) fabric and had it made just for me!

A real tight lacing corset is a wonderful thing - I feel MOST feminine when I'm wearing one.
I don't wear them too often b/c I avoid wearing them when I know I'll be dancing or eating.

For me, the hardest part of finding the perfect corset is getting a flattering length and shape - I'm just shy of 5' 4" so a lot of corsets don't fit my figure properly.
Honestly - I even hate the fit of the wedding corset I had custom made. I was in tears when it finally arrived (weeks late) and I had no time to get something better! I've never worn it again and I should just sell it off b/c whenever I look at it I feel cheated!

I do think it's time for me to buy the next corset for my collection! But I insist on trying them on in person - no online corset shopping for me!

Do you have a favorite corset? Where did you get it?

Love your corset, congrats on sewing such a fine piece! The best corsets I own were also sewn by me...

oh @MindLess- I didn't make it myself - I picked out the fabric and the design and had someone make it for me - I wish I could sew that well! : ) That's so cool that you can make your own!! Totally jealous!

That silver looks so cool and no denying the corset does lovely things for the shape of a woman. That's such a shame about your wedding corset.

Do you mind sharing who made your corset? I'm 5'3 and 3/4s, short-waisted, big-chested. Finding corsets is impossible. You and your husband look like a good team. Does he pick his own outfits?

@Underground - I bought the corset at Le Chateau Exotique in New Hope, PA - I tried on the style I liked at the shop, then sent my fabric to the corset maker for a custom made corset. I'll have to see if the label says anything other than Le Chateau.

Thanks for your compliment! And YES the husband dresses himself! I did help him rebuild his wardrobe a bit when we first met - but he's got tons of style!
