Gothy moment in blood red and black

Something old and something new. I made this skirt last month just to take on vacation. The top is another item I've had in the closet for 10 years - I don't have a photo of the back, but the top has a cool satin patch with a blood red dragon on it and some text. Even though tops are longer now, I can't bear to part with this unique shirt! So layering makes it work.

Oooooo, (do I always start my comments with "Oooo"? lol) that skirt is so fun! Did you make it from scratch or modify one? And I love the jewelry. You two always look so smart together. I love how your styles complement each other. Your Ken is no fashion slacker. ;^)

Thanks so much for the compliment! I have to brag, I made this skirt from scratch with no pattern! And somehow it turned out wearable! ; ) color me surprised!

I'll pass your compliment on to the Mr. - and you are SO RIGHT - he is NO SLACKER - in any way shape or form! I love him so!!!!

Mr. Ken's grey and black complement your red and black nicely. I'm totally impressed that you not only made the skirt, but did it pattern-free! Is the fabric a print, or is it somehow distressed? It's hard to tell in the photos, but the overall effect is smashing!

You are so handy crafty cool with the fashion. Impressed.

You both look exceptionally exceptional.

That is one of my very favorite Industrial Ken outfits I have seen on the blog.

I'm always so excited to see such lovely compliments in the comments - Thank you guys so much for taking a minute to say such nice things!!

@VictorianKitty - The fabric is textured with kind of burned out holes in the top layer - it's from a Halloween line at Joanne Fabric store. Can't wait for next season's fabrics to come out!
