POSTAL MUSEUM!!!!!

PURE JOY FILLED MY HEART WHEN WE STEPPED OUT OF UNION STATION AND I SPOTTED THAT BUILDING ACCROSS THE STREET! I am a HUGE fan of old fashioned MAIL and Letters and of course stamps!
Charles was THRILLED too...

They had activities and we designed our own stamps - they also let us browse international and antique cancelled stamps and choose 6 each to take home for our collection. What FUN!

And in the gift shop I found a grab bag of cancelled international stamps! YAY!

Cute! You reminded me of this little tattoo I was admiring recently:

Do you like the Griffin & Sabine books? They are some of my favorites - so cool to look at. If you don't know them, browse the next time you are in a book store. They are by Nick Bantock. I bet you would like them too.

That last picture of you is darling.

YAY Griffin and Sabine!!! I read through them all years ago when I worked in a bookstore - it's probably time for me to revisit them! and that tattoo is WONDERFUL! Almost cute enough to make me want one! ha ha!

And that last picture is probably a more accurate representation of what I look like most of the time - I'm always making faces ; ) You're always so sweet with your lovely compliments! Thanks for being such a cool blog friend!

Your stamp is cute :) Are you on vacation? Or is this near your home?

I knew you would like those books! I'm jealous you got to work in a bookstore. I've often dreamt of working in a library but that hasn't come together for me.

I love expressive people. So much more fun and interesting. Make lots of faces! Bring it on!

Aww - thanks for having such a cool blog. I always look forward to your posts :-)

@Piper we took a long weekend trip down to D.C. - I'd never been there before and it's a mere 2 1/2 hour drive from here! We'll surely be back before too long! Fun city - lots to see!
